Revelations 3:20-21(NLT)
“Look! I stand at the
door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we
will share a meal together as friends. 21 Those who are
victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with
my Father on his throne.
Every person’s heart has a door. The things
we see and hear or the people we inhabit in lives affect our response to
certain issues like love, forgiveness, hate, bitterness and anger. It's our
responsibility to guard our hearts because out of them emanate issues of life
(Proverbs 4:23 [NKJV] “Keep your heart with all
diligence, for out of it spring the
issues of life.”). Nothing can hurt you unless you open up your heart to it.
Proverbs
4:20-23 (NLT)
“My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. 21 Don’t
lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your
heart, 22 for they bring life to those who
find them, and healing to their whole body. 23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
When
you understand this mystery, you can be able to make successful spiritual warfare,
because always the devil will return to check if he still has a place in your
heart but he will find his house closed up. Mathew 12:43-45(NLT) “When
an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest but
finding none. 44 Then
it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So it returns and finds its
former home empty, swept, and in order. 45 Then the
spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the
person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. That will
be the experience of this evil generation.”
Learn to open up your heart to only music,
movies, books, conversations, friends and other things that benefit and enrich
you.
Appraise your life and take out everything that is not beneficial to you,
allocate your time to people that can only take you ahead in life.
God
bless you as you guard your heart in this year of fruition!
