Many
times we tend to think that things in life just happen but that’s not the case.
Things that come or happen to us are as result of the actions and decisions we
have taken in life.
We
usually expect to reap even when we have not laid any foundation to receive. In
the real world, you can only expect to reap or receive after an action. Our
hope to harvest should be based on something - an action taken prior. For
example, you cannot expect to pass exams you have not sat for. When you sit for
exams, you expect to be marked, score and ranked.
We
should only expect to reap from the system put in place. Luke 6:38(NIV) says; "Give,
and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and
running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it
will be measured to you.” When you help the needy,
you will be helped because by the same measure you use, you will be judged.
When you show mercy and compassion, the same will be done to you and if you
don't, you should expect less.
Philippians
4:16-17 “For even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once
when I was in need. 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that
more be credited to your account.”
